Playworker Level 2

Job Purpose

To be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating environment and high quality of care and education for children aged 3 years to 11 years

 

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Weekly planning working with all staff as a team

Recording children’s skills and outcomes (ensuring they are all progressing and learning)

Setting up, clearing away and cleaning of resources

Prepare, serve and supervise snack

Ensure planning and topic activities are set out appropriately each day

Attend staff meetings

Self-Evaluation

Attend appraisals

Be familiar with the Curriculum for funded non-maintained nursery settings.

Be familiar with and compliant with National Minimum Standards (CIW)

Be familiar and compliant with CIW requirements

Be familiar with all policies and procedures and ensure they are all adhered to at all times

To work as part of a team, communicating well

Attend training as required

 

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

Holds a Level 2 Playworker qualification, or willing to work towards a play work qualification

Good literacy and numeracy skills

Effective use of ICT

Use of relevant equipment/resources

Knowledge of all policies and procedures

Work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position within these

Ability to identify own training and development needs and discuss with Person in Charge

First Aid training, Safeguarding training and Food Hygiene training required (these can be arranged if required)
