Ardagh Metal Apprentice

We are looking to recruit highly motivated apprentices to join Ardagh Metal Packaging in an exciting role eventually become part of the Production team at our Deeside Plant End Manufacturing facility, on a
three year apprenticeship.

Your primary role as a Process Technician Apprentice is to understand the production process in terms of Safety, Quality and Performance. You will learn to become part of a production team working alongside Process Technicians, Production Technicians and a Technical team, to help achieve the Plants KPIs in

• Health and Safety
• Sustainability
• Quality
• Efficiency
• Spoilage
• Cost

Apprentice Training Framework for the role is as follows:

• College attendance
• Year 1 Full Time college attendance.
• Performing Engineering Operations NVQ L2 (PEO)
• BTEC L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Year 1)
• Digital Literacy L2 – Essential Skill Wales

• Year 2 Day release at college / working shifts onsite.
• BTEC L3 Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Year 2)
• NVQ L3 Diploma in Engineering Maintenance

• Year 3 Fulltime working shifts onsite.
• NVQ L3 Diploma in Engineering Maintenance

• Whilst working shifts onsite you will work alongside permanent colleagues to develop and learn:
• the optimum efficiency and continuation of the production process
• that process controls procedures are monitored and correct
• the required Quality Assurance checks are completed
• best practices for troubleshooting and problem solving
• Working to Company/Plant Standard Operating Procedures

keen to progress and have ambition will be considered.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

• 5 GCSE’s at level 4 or above, including Maths and English or equivalent qualification
• Languages – Fluent in written and spoken English

Working Pattern:
1 st year – full-time college
2 nd year – day release for college, whilst working a shift pattern
3 rd year – full-time on shift pattern whilst completing NVQ on the job

Shift Pattern:
4 x 12hour shifts. 2 days 2 nights / 4 off.
Fixed rota with 5 fixed 18 day holiday breaks per annum.

Salary:
1 st year: £28,000 per annum
2 nd year: £32,000 per annum
3 rd year: £36,000 per annum
