About the Role

Homeprove is seeking a motivated Carpentry Apprentice to join our skilled team, working across domestic and commercial projects. Youll be learning hands-on from experienced professionals, contributing to real-life projects while studying towards your NVQ Level 3 qualification at College Cambria.
We provide all tools, training, and transport from Wrexham, giving you everything you need to succeed.

Daily Duties

– Work alongside two experienced carpenters on various job sites
– Assist with fire door installation, maintenance, and safety compliance
– Support kitchen fitting, including reading layout drawings
– Learn to fit architraves, skirting boards, and timber mouldings
– Gain experience cutting, joining, and installing wooden and laminate worktops
– Assist with bespoke timber frame installations
– Read and follow manufacturer manuals, particularly for fire doors
– Carry out quality checks and ensure jobs are clean and tidy on completion
– Follow all health and safety procedures on-site
– Attend college as part of your training and apply learning in real-world scenarios
– Work flexibly to meet project schedules and customer expectations

– Reliable, with strong timekeeping and attendance
– Able to follow instructions, show initiative, and work well in a team
– Basic understanding of numeracy and literacy
– Polite, professional, and good communicator on-site
– Share company values: punctuality, honesty, trust

Minimum Entry Requirements

– GCSEs at minimum Grade D in English Language and Mathematics
– Equivalent qualifications or functional skills certificates may also be considered
These skills are important for tasks such as interpreting technical information and calculating measurements.
