We’re looking for a motivated individual, who has already completed Year 1 of a full time Electrical Engineering course (Level 3) and is now seeking an apprenticeship to continue learning while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
This is an opportunity to join our team and develop skills in control systems, automation and PLCs while working towards completion of an apprenticeship.
What you’ll be doing:
Working on site at our Wrexham Plant (with day release to college)
- Supporting the installation, maintenance and fault finding of control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors and drives)
- Assisting wit troubleshooting and root cause analysis of automation issues
- Learning how to interpret electrical drawings and control schematics
- Contributing to control system upgrades and improvement projects
- On the job training courses such as Siemens S7, TIA, G120, SCADA
What we’re looking for:
Someone who has completed Year 1 of a full time Electrical Engineering course at college
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English and a science or Technical subject (strong maths is skills required therefore a GCSE grade A in Maths is preferred, but not essential)
- A keen interest in control systems, automation and engineering
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to working safely
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Understanding of basic engineering principles

Fixed Term Apprenticeship 3-4 years
Hours of Work: 42 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Salary: £22,977.30 per annum
