The Opportunity: Passionate about dairy farming? Join an industry leader supporting farmers across South Wales to maximise herd performance and productivity.

As a Dairy Farm Account Manager, you will build strong, trusted relationships with dairy farmers across South Wales, advising on breeding decisions and supporting herd development through innovative programmes and practical herd management solutions. Taking a consultative sales approach, you will introduce and promote a portfolio of products and services designed to help farmers maximise productivity and efficiency within their herds. With a strong and proven skill set, you will manage and grow an established customer base while proactively identifying opportunities to expand sales with new customers.

This role would suit a dairy enthusiast with a strong understanding of cattle breeding and herd management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting partnerships with farmers, while delivering the high level of customer support this well-respected industry leader is known for.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a defined territory, developing strong customer relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Drive sales growth by following up leads, expanding existing accounts, and developing new customers
  • Conduct regular on-farm visits to understand customer needs and provide appropriate technical advice, products, and solutions
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records, ensuring compliance with company policies and data protection requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues and technical specialists to support key accounts and contribute to wider sales initiatives
  • Represent the company professionally at farm visits, meetings, agricultural shows, and industry events

Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of dairy reproduction systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage own diary
  • A relationship builder, able to build long-lasting business relationships with farming customers
  • Self-motivated with a good level of commercial acumen
  • A collaborative team player
  • Solution-focused and target driven
  • Strong IT skills, comfortable using apps and data management tools
  • A clean driving licence and the willingness to travel daily

Desirable:

  • Proven experience in a direct-to-farm sales role
