A Nursery Assistant supports the daily running of our child‑led, play‑rich environment where children’s voices shape the day. You will help create meaningful, real‑life learning experiences — from muddy play to bus adventures — while promoting independence and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
– Support child‑led learning by following children’s interests and ideas
– Help deliver Welsh‑language immersion throughout the entire session
– Join in with messy play, muddy play, outdoor adventures and real‑life experiences
– Assist with supervising children as they move between different sessions
– Communicate warmly and confidently with parents and carers
– Read interactive stories in an engaging, animated way
– Lead or support singing sessions — enthusiasm is more important than being in tune
– Work effectively within a busy team environment
Person Qualities
– Energetic and playful, happy to get messy and join in
– Confident using and promoting the Welsh language
– Flexible, calm and able to adapt quickly
– Friendly, approachable and a strong communicator
– Passionate about giving children real‑life, meaningful experiences
