We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Junior IT Controls and Reconciliation Coordinator to join our busy team based in Holywell/Sherburn.
Monitor, report and reconcile our divisional estate to ensure our infrastructure, network, end user devices and people are safe and secure. This will involve working closely with all parts of the division, Group IT and external parties to ensure we are complying with industry standards and those mandated by the IT General Controls Manual. Collating and auditing data from multiple IT systems to produce accurate reports, dashboards and reconciliations to schedule. Co-ordinating any identified remediation activities within our ITIL environment to the relevant teams.
Understand the data in reports to address any queries relating to these.
Operating our monitoring systems including Cyber, patching and training, responding to threats and alerts within SLA and timely escalation of issues. Proactively identifying potential threats and possible remediations, assisting with the update and development of IT policies and procedures.
Keeping up to date with industry threats and personal skills within cyber.
What will you be doing?
Key Accountabilities
As a member of the cyber security team, the key responsibilities include:
• Generation of reports, reconciliations and dashboards to the agreed schedule
• Use the reports to generate KPI’s for IT Management and the business
• Securely store reports, reconciliations and KPI’s including supporting documentation and data, be able to provide this data for audit in a timely manner
• Understand and be able to defend contents of reports to IT Management, IT teams, the business and as required auditors
• Communicate remedial actions to responsible teams
• Monitoring security alerts and logs
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating when required
• Assist broader IT Team with queries regarding IT Policies
• Ensure IT team are following Policies and procedures relating to the management of our assets and devices across our estate
• Bring to the attention of the IT Management team any identified breaches of IT policies including those in IT General Controls our End User Agreement and Acceptable use of IT
• Update incident response procedures
• Cyber Security testing and training
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001 accreditations and all other certifications currently in place, including CE marking.
o Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures;
o Participate in training as required;
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Good understanding of the current IT General Controls Manual
• Good understanding of the divisional IT estate and how systems interact with each other
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manipulate and reconcile data from various systems, strong understanding of Excel
• Good understanding of Power BI, Word and PowerPoint
• Adherence to procedures and processes and good practise of the ITIL framework.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or other cyber methodologies
• Familiarity with AV tools, Vulnerability tools and Cisco Umbrella
• Available for travel to other sites within the Division
This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and a desire to develop an in depth understanding of the data from our systems and how these systems interact. The role requires significant interaction with technical and non-technical teams across our divisional, Group, and key 3rd parties, therefore excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Many of the activities are governed by industry and internal standards, the ability to quickly understand changes to these and new requirements is crucial. Much of this work is team based but the role also requires the ability to work unsupervised, regardless time must be prioritised to ensure the timely delivery of reports or response to threats.
