We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 2 IT Apprentice to join our growing IT department. This apprenticeship provides an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, practical learning experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and network maintenance. As an IT Apprentice, you will be working alongside experienced professionals to gain valuable skills and knowledge while assisting with day-to-day IT operations.
Daily duties include:
• Monitoring Systems: Checking the health and performance of servers, network devices, or workstations.
• Installing Software and Updates: Installing or updating software applications on users’ systems.
• Providing Remote Assistance: Helping users solve problems via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
• Troubleshooting Issues: Addressing jobs or assisting users with technical problems, such as network connectivity issues, software malfunctions, or hardware failures.
• Performing Software Updates: Applying operating system and application updates to maintain security and functionality.
• Network Setup: Assisting with the setup or configuration of network equipment (routers, switches, etc.).
Desirable personal qualities required:
– A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach to work.
– Good customer service skills, with the ability to assist and communicate effectively with non-technical users.
Qualifications required:
– A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (grade C/4 or above).
– No prior professional experience is required, as well as a passion for IT and technology is essential.
– Previous exposure to basic IT support, troubleshooting, or working with hardware/software is a plus but not mandatory.
Welsh speaking skills required
31-40 hours per week
