Role Overview

As an IT Apprentice at Tweedmill Shopping Outlet, you will embark on a comprehensive
training program designed to develop your skills and knowledge in various aspects of
information technology. This apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience and
mentorship, allowing you to contribute to real projects while gaining industry-recognised
qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

 Technical Support: Assist in providing technical support to end-users, including
troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
 System Maintenance: Participate in the maintenance and monitoring of IT systems,
ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
 Network Management: Support the setup and management of network
infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers.
 Software Installation: Help with the installation, configuration, and updating of
software applications.
 Cybersecurity: Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures to protect company
data and systems.

 Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and system
changes.
 Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills
 Educational Background: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and IT/Computer
Science. A-levels or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
 Passion for IT: Demonstrated interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career
in IT.
 Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
efficiently.
 Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
 Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
 Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
 Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
