As a Joining Solutions Technician, you’ll help test and improve technologies like riveting,
fastening, and adhesives. You’ll work on real projects that make a difference, learn from
experienced engineers, and grow your skills every day.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Try out and test joining tools like rivets and adhesives on different materials.
• Help engineers find the best solutions by comparing test results.
• Write up your findings in simple reports and share your ideas.
• Keep the lab safe, tidy, and running smoothly.
• Work with friendly teams across engineering, suppliers, and customers.
• Travel occasionally (even abroad!) to support exciting projects.

What You’ll Need
• A college course or hands-on experience in engineering (mechanical, materials,
or manufacturing).
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.
• Confidence using tools and lab equipment.
• Clear communication and good time management.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
