Apprenticeship Overview
We are looking for a second-year engineering apprentice to join our maintenance team and help us provide a crucial role in our operations. The ideal candidate will achieve Level 3 qualifications in electrical engineering and will be developing a diverse skill set that includes the opportunity to multi-skill with qualifications in mechanical engineering also, PLC training for mods and installs, welding and fabrication skills, machining experience, and working towards the 18th edition qualifications.

Apprenticeship Term:
You will have completed your initial year at college. We are offering a 3-year fixed term placement that allows you to complete your course with time at college and provides you with essential hands-on applied development in the job.
Key Responsibilities
In the apprenticeship role you will be involved in the following activities while on site here at Clwyd.
- Assemble, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems and components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Fabricate, weld, and machine parts as needed to support production and projects.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Be a part of Continuous improvement projects for the site.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Always adhere to company safety protocols and quality standards.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Take part in the TPM rollout on site.
Qualifications and Skills:
Training will be given, and experience gained in the following areas;
Level 3 qualifications in mechanical and electrical multi skilled engineering
PLC ladder logic modification and creation
Welding and fabrication experience.
Machining and toolroom workshop experience
18th edition qualification.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Reports to: Maintenance Lead
