Role Purpose
The Manufacturing Apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working towards nationally recognized qualifications. As a Manufacturing Apprentice, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and expertise required to contribute to the production of high-quality insulation products. Key Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Apprentice, you will:

1. Learn Manufacturing Processes:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the production processes, machinery, and equipment used in the
    manufacturing of insulation products.
  • Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery under
    supervision.

2. Support Production Activities:

  • Work alongside experienced team members to ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Participate in the preparation, monitoring, and adjustment of production lines to optimize efficiency.

3. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Learn to identify and mitigate potential risks in the workplace.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and
    reduce waste.
  • Participate in team meetings and share ideas for improving manufacturing operations.

5. Training and Development:

  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship program.
  • Work towards achieving a recognized qualification in manufacturing or engineering.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments.
  • Support team members in achieving shared goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English, and Science (Grade 4/C or above).
  • Level 2 PEO (Achieved by September 2025).
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or technical environment (e.g., through work experience or part-time roles).
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.
