Playworker/Childcare Assistant for Flying Start

Temporary Childcare assistant to work with 2 year olds in our flying start setting.

Essential

·        To possess a relevant qualification L2/L3 Childcare qualification

·        Subject to clear DBS check

·        An understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.

·        Knowledge of the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child

·        An understanding of play and child development and the ability to meet children’s individual needs or willingness to undertake training

·        Demonstrate a wide range of practical Playwork skills.

Desirable

·        Current First Aid qualification.

·        Current Food Safety qualification.

·        Ability to speak Welsh.

·        Experience of working with children [2year olds].

·        Experience of working in a team and/or supervising staff or volunteer.

·        Knowledge of legislation relevant to the provision of childcare for school age children.
