Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Trainee Chef to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone currently studying at catering college and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment. You will do food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and learn the day-to-day operations of a pub kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals under supervision
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Help with stock rotation and inventory checks
  • Clean and maintain kitchen workspaces and equipment
  • Learn and apply culinary techniques
  • Apply college learning in a practical setting

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a catering or culinary arts course
  • Passion for food and a desire to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to take direction
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices

This person would:
  • Need to drive, or have a reliable mode of transport to get to us.
  • Be a level 3 hospitality and catering student or above.
  • Be available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoon through to evening.
  • Be ready to influence and develop a menu.
Hours: Part-Time (Flexible to accommodate college schedule)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate
Reports to: Kitchen Manager
