On this 3 Year Process Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, you’ll gain a BEng (Hons) in
Industrial Engineering Design (Mechanical) and set yourself up for a career working as a Process Engineer.
About the programme:

precision cleanroom coatings for films, foils and other speciality substrates from polyurethane
films and foams used in wound care, ostomy and medical devices to conductive coated films
and foils used in batteries and communications systems.

Joining us at TC you’ll help develop robust, innovative solutions to extraordinary challenges.
Over 3, you’ll get to know the ins and outs of designing processes and technologies – from New
Product Design to Commercialisation and life extension for our existing products, searching for
new ways of maximising productivity whilst maintaining the upmost Quality Standards.
Here’s what you’ll get up to:
• Designing processes for New Products and taking them to commercialisation.
• Working closely with a team on global projects.
• Learning all about the development lifecycle.
• Understanding Processes and Robust Problem-solving techniques.
Your education/training:
This Level 6-degree apprenticeship provides practical and theoretical training for aspiring
Process Engineers who want to gain new skills and a formal degree qualification.
Alongside workplace training, you’ll also be studying for a Level 6 in BEng (Hons) in Industrial
Engineering Design (Mechanical). It’s the perfect mix of classroom learning and real-world
experience.
Future prospects:
Upon programme completion, you can expect to earn a competitive salary exceeding £35,000.
Once you’ve completed the apprenticeship, you’ll be all set to take on the role of a Process
Engineer. With the experience you’ll gain and our support, you’ll be encouraged to start your
journey toward gaining professional recognition with the Chartered Institution of Chemical
Engineers (IChemE).
The skills you develop in this programme provide an excellent foundation for a successful future
in Process Engineering, which could see you progress into roles like Senior Process Engineer or Process Manager.
What you’ll need:
• At least 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 (or equivalent) including English and Chemistry, as well as
Mathematics at B/6 or higher.
• A-level grades at BCC or above, including Maths and Chemistry.
