Position Summary
We are currently looking for an Electronics Test & Assembly Apprentice to join our growing operations team based in Deeside.
You will be joining a leading aerospace business which are committed to providing the skills, training & development opportunities to become a highly skilled Test & Assembly operator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• The preparation and assembly of electronic circuit cards, following all work instructions, requirements & company policies.
• Complete self-inspection & inspection of others work to IPC-610 (Training Provided)
• Follow instructions in relation to recording data, to ensure product traceability is always maintained.
• Follow strict health and safety guidelines, including the wearing of all specified PPE.
• Flexibility & willingness to learn / training in all areas of assembly & test.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly work area for self and others.
Position Details
• Based in Deeside
• Hours of Employment: 37 hours a week. Flexibility may be required.
• 4-day working week
Job Requirements, Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Willingness to Learn – A strong desire to gain new skills, absorb knowledge, and take feedback constructively is crucial for growth in an apprenticeship.
• Problem-Solving Ability – Being able to think critically and approach technical challenges methodically is a core skill in engineering.
• Attention to Detail – Precision is important in engineering work. Apprentices must be thorough in following instructions and checking their work.
• Teamwork and Communication – Engineering often involves collaboration. An apprentice should be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Dependability and Work Ethic – Showing up on time, being reliable, and demonstrating a strong work ethic are essential traits for building trust and progressing in a role.
