Vacancy Description
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our friendly IT department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in technology  who’s just starting out in their career.
You’ll work alongside our IT Manager, gaining practical, hands-on experience while studying towards a recognised IT qualification through Coleg Cambria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to employees across all departments.
 - Assist with the setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of PCs, printers, mobile devices and network connections.
 - Support users with Microsoft 365 applications and basic system queries.
 - Help maintain IT asset records and manage user accounts.
 - Assist with software updates, data backups and general system maintenance.
 - Participate in small IT projects under the supervision of the IT Manager.
 
Skills Required:
- Genuine interest in IT and problem solving.
 - Good communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows systems.
 - Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
 - Reliable, organised, and eager to learn.
 
Personal Qualities:
- Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
 - Strong attention to detail.
 - Enthusiastic, friendly and dependable.
 - Interest in continuous learning and self-development.
 
Qualifications Required:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
 - A relevant ICT or Computer Studies qualification (desirable but not essential).
 
Training to be Provided:
- IT apprenticeship qualification delivered by Coleg Cambria (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 depending on entry level).
 - On-the-job training and mentoring from the Archwood IT team.
 - Opportunities to shadow experienced colleagues and develop practical skills.
 
Future Prospects:
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress into a permanent IT Support role or continue further study towards higher-level IT qualifications.
