We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sales & Customer Service Apprentice. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
The Role
As a Sales & Customer Service Apprentice, you will support the sales team in providing outstanding service to customers, processing enquiries, and assisting with day-to-day business operations. You will learn how to develop customer relationships, identify sales opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Providing product information and assisting customers with their requirements.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing quotations and following up on sales opportunities.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Assisting with account management and customer communications.
- Updating customer records and maintaining accurate databases.
- Supporting the sales team with administrative duties.
- Monitoring customer orders and providing updates on delivery status.
- Assisting with stock checks and inventory administration.
- Resolving customer queries and escalating issues when necessary.
- Learning about the company’s products, services, and industry sectors.
Skills and Qualities Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Confidence when speaking with customers and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Desired Qualifications
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics preferred.
- An interest in sales, customer service, and business development.
- A willingness to develop commercial awareness and product knowledge.
